Each panel is routed vertical grooves so that when installed, it simulates separate vertical boards. It is low-cost to install, however, like all wood products, it requires painting and maintenance. Triple 3 (T3): Three 3-inch wide horizontal traditional planks per single panel of siding. Tongue and Groove (T&G): A method of connecting materials, like wood, in which the tongue of one board is placed into the grove at the end of another board following it. Trim Cap: Siding trim that seals backer board and gives clean, finished edge. Trim Coil: Painted or vinyl coated aluminum material commonly used to case around window, doors, and other areas.
