Obscure Glass:  Any textured glass that has been made for privacy, light diffusion, or decorative effects.  (translucent instead of transparent, frosted, etched, fluted, ground, etc).  Typically used in bathroom windows for privacy.

Operable Window:  Window that can be opened for ventilation.

Operator:  Crank-operated device for opening and closing casement or jalousie windows.

Oriel:  A window with the meeting rail located off center of the frame where the top sash is larger than the lower.  Most oriels have a 60/40 or 70/30 configuration.

Outer Frame Member:  The exterior protruding portion of a window frame which has no exterior casing.

Overlapping and Interlocking Meeting Rail:  A patented meeting rail which overlaps and interlocks both sash.
